Potamia villages and the old towers of Naxos
Today we will visit the three beautiful Potamia Villages. After a 30 minute drive into the mainland of Naxos, we will do a 4 kilometres walk through the old villages. There are a lot of greens and
shade because of the small river in this area.
We will end the roundwalk in a local tavern for a coffee break and very tasty cakes.
The next stop is Chalki, the former capital of Naxos, surrounded by the oldest olive groves of the island.
Facultative we will visit an old distillery and have a tasting of local products.
In the village there are plenty of small shops along the narrow streets.
On our way back to the coast we will see ancient Venetian towers and we will have a stop in a village with their winding alleys and old windmills.
